

About the Role
All candidates shall be capable of working at Heights (150’+) and sufficiently fit to traverse stair towers on multiple occasions over the course of the day.
A standout candidate for this position will possess considerable knowledge of construction materials, methods and procedures; ability to maintain field and office records; ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations; ability to read and interpret plans and specifications; and ability to deal effectively with people. Proficiency with personal computers and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus. Familiarity with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation Site Manager, field documentation and recording procedures is a plus. NACE/BCI Coatings Certification and Structural Steel Repair expertise will set the prospective candidate apart.

Requirements
Experience:
At least 6 years employment in civil, highway or appropriate engineering field of which at least 4 years shall be in field inspection activities.
Education:
Bachelor's (Preferred)
License/Certification:
NICET Level III Certification in Transportation/Highway Construction is required, except for those persons possessing a current Professional Engineer's License registered in the State of Connecticut (PE) or a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a relevant field (engineering or construction management).
