The Wabasha Street Bridge, America’s first
cast-in-place segmental bridge with external post-tensioning inside
the box girder, was built using balanced cantilever erection with
form travelers. This signature bridge across the Mississippi River
was developed with the community through design charettes and was
built through harsh winter weather.
