WMATA–Branch Avenue
Suburban Washington, DC (Maryland)

These two bridges were designed to carry mass transit rail traffic for WMATA over the Suitland Parkway in Maryland as a part of the Branch Avenue Station. Construction from above was used to minimize impact to area wetlands and interruptions to traffic flow on the Parkway. The overall structures provide simple, clean sculptured lines that blend into the site’s picturesque beauty.
