Chesapeake & Delaware Canal Bridge, a vista of
light across the canal by the same name on Delaware S.R. #1, has
the longest concrete span in the northeast at 750’. The
innovative design solutions in this bridge helped obtain an
economical solution by saving $6.2 million in alternate bid designs
and an aesthetically pleasing design. It has set the standard for
the 21st century long span bridge design.
