Biloxi I-110, an elevated connection between I-10
and U S #90 represents a design solution to accommodate the
expansion of interstate systems in a developed urban area within
restricted rights-of-way. Construction was accomplished from above
in order to minimize traffic interruptions. Openness of the
superstructure and slender piers create minimum impact on the
established community. The precast concrete segmental design saved
the owner $4.2 million over the alternate cast-in-place design
solution
